DigiTech Obscuraは、ディレイサウンドを延ばしたり縮めたり逆さまにしたり、暗くしたり劣化させたり歪めることのできるユニークなディレイエフェクトです。これらのユニークなディレイサウンドにリピートホールド機能を組み合わせることで、延々と続くトリップ状態のサウンドや、暴走するノイズを楽しむことができます。もちろん普通のディレイとしての性能もクラス最高レベルです。

Obscuraには、遅延時間を決定するTIMEコントロール（タップテンポ機能も利用可能）、繰り返し回数を設定するREPEATSコントロール（リピートホールド機能の設定も兼用）、ディレイレベルを調整するLEVELコントロール、音質を補正するTONEとDEGRADEの２つのコントロール、バイパス時に残響を自然に減衰させる機能のOn/Offを設定するTAILSスイッチ、ディレイのOn/Offを行うBYPASSスイッチ（トゥルーバイパス）、そして４つのディレイから任意のディレイを選択するためのMODEセレクターが備えられています。Obscuraで利用できるディレイモードは、アナログディレイエミュレーター、テープエコーエミュレーター、ローファイデジタルディレイ、リバースディレイです。

Obscuraは標準的なエフェクター電源（DC9V/センターマイナス/要75mA以上）で動作します、バッテリーでは動作しません
